Local Food and Drink

Wood Street Food Hall

22-24 Wood St, Swindon SN1 4AB, UK – 01793 671050

I recently purchased 5kg of Cornish mussels for a special lunch party and they were absolutely delicious! They took a bit of scrubbing to clear off the barnacles but it was well worth the effort. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending Wood Street Food Hall. I ordered in advance and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. All my guests thoroughly enjoyed the excellent mussels for their starter.

I was searching in internet to find a fresh farm milk and found you selling milk directly from farm. The milk is so tasty than any other supermarket while milk cans. But its costly. Have recommended to my colleagues. If the shop is open until 7 pm it will be easy for me to buy after my office hours.my office hours ends by 6pm!! So can you make it till 7pm?

Morrisons

Dorcan House, Eldene Dr, Swindon SN3 3TX, UK – 01793 399501

Love shopping here. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The layout is perfect. Love that the freezers are last up meaning no half defrosted items at checkout or running to and from. I hate chaos. Always seems quite busy but not too busy.

Small branch of Morrison's, good for basic shopping but not a great range of products. Half an aisle of Nutmeg children's clothes for 1-6 years (mainly up to 3), no petrol station. Nice cafe.

Morrisons

11 Victoria Rd, Swindon SN1 3AJ, UK – 01793 393067

This is a supermarket. It sells food and other things. Generally pretty reasonable. Generous reductions compared to other places near town centre, if you like reductions. Other than that, it sells food. And other stuff. New building, so not like that depressing Asda in Shaw Ridge that looks like it hasn't been touched since 1982. Not that that is relevant, I just don't like it.

I'd give it 5 stars if they were better at keeping their shelves stocked, that's my only issue. Other than that, reasonable prices, friendly staff and good produce

BigBarn has a totally brilliant map for Wiltshire showing all the local food producers. So if you want to know where your food comes from look no further!
The Kent & Sussex Tea and Coffee Company was established 26 years ago when the Smith family returned from India, where for two generations we had been involved with tea. The website contains information about all the different teas and coffees supplied together with regular updates on new additions to the range.
Coffee, tea, chocolates and pretty china and good gift ideas.
